Barbara Bates
LSA Teacher
Hi. My students at the Brandywine YMCA know me as Miss Barb. I am very blessed because I'm doing what I love most- teaching. I taught adult exercise, swim lessons, and preschool to 2 and 4 year olds for over 35 years. My greatest joy comes when I see a child's smiling face as he is learning new things or conquering new skills.
On Sundays I teach Sunday School to kindergarten and first graders and love to help out with other church activities. I love to listen to Christian music and study The Word.
When I'm not working at Little Saints, I love to spend time with my great grandson Logan. Weekends you can find me kayaking at Chambers Lake or hiking or just enjoying the sights and sounds of nature.
I believe that if we live, pray, and help others, the Light of Jesus, in us, will shine brightly for everyone to see.
Sometimes the smallest things we do make the Biggest difference to someone in need!!
